IMMIGRATION & LEGAL SERVICES

SAN offers immigration legal services for African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants working towards securing a legal status in the United States. SAN provides the following immigration services Adjustment of status applications, Family-based petitions, Consular Processing, Citizenship and naturalisation applications, Work Permits, and temporary protected status applications.

TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION

SAN staff and volunteers provide translation services for official government documents, affidavits, birth certificates, marriage certificates school transcripts and any other documents required for immigration and non-immigration processing.
SAN also provides interpretation services at the asylum office, doctors offices, and any private and public meetings throughout the Washington DC area.

BROADCAST MEDIA SERVICES

SAN provides both radio and tv programming content targeting the underserved populations in an effort to promote personal and civic responsibility, informed action and thoughtful living.
The vision is to convert operations from internet only to a terrestrial establishment to:
a. To celebrate local cultures
b. Air alternative points of view and facilitate understanding through dialogue
c. To provide media training and to foster community empowerment and participation d. To provide representation for under-served and under-represented constituencies
E. To provide news and information not commonly found elsewhere on the airwaves.

EMPLOYMENT TRAINING & HOUSING

Our Employment & Training referrals assist newly arrived Africans in better understanding the complexities of American culture and referring them to partner organizations. We provide referrals regarding the following:
a. Employment assistance
b. Resume building
c. Job search assistance
d. Referrals to affordable housing
e. Referrals to shelters

ARTS & CULTURE INTEGRATION

SAN partners with artists to celebrate African and Afro-Caribbean arts and provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents and further their profession. In doing so, we aim to build community links and promote the rich and vibrant African culture throughout DC Area. We host an annual designed to promote Afro-Ghanaian culture, create a solid international platform for social integration and business opportunities. It also seeks to celebrate our vibrant cultural diversity and promote deeper multicultural understanding and connections.
